• In January 1977, purchased his first 4x5 view camera, a SINAR model F, using the down payment from his first assignment.
• Moved in to the first studio, located at 14 Lan Kwai Fong, in late February, making use the fund from second payment of his first assignment.
• Ka-sing and Holly began to live together, studio at Lan Kwai Fong as their living quarter.
• Purchased, out from the catalogue, the Broncolor HAZYLIGHT, a piece of equipment that lives along with for five decades, or perhaps will be in the life time.
• Purchase a set of used Hasselblad from So Wing Yee.
• Published a photo essay in Asia Magazine (SCMP, October 77) on the firecracker industry in Macau. Co-written with Holly
